Stanley Shattuck Taylor

Stanley Shattuck Taylor was born on March 29, 1889 in Enselmo, CA  and died in February, 1980 in Honolulu, Hawaii.  He was the son of James Taylor and Jean Margaret Wooster Taylor, brother to Pen Taylor and Muriel’s Uncle. 

Stanley worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in his early years. In 1915 Stanley started a book store in Hawaii and then in 1920, he and his brother James started the Honolulu Paper Company (HOPACO) which still exists today.  Stanley married Pearl Lucille McLean (born August 10, 1894) in Hawaii in 1921. They had one child, Stanley Shattuck Taylor Jr., who was  born March 10, 1922.
