Florence Jones

Florence Jones was a famous dancer and singer who captivated Paris audiences in the early 1920s.  Florence appeared first at the le Grand Duc and then at Mitchells, both popular Paris nightclubs.  Louis Mitchell was so taken with her that he renamed his club Chez Florence in her honor.

Besides being an entertainer, Florence was also a great cook. Parisians flocked into her club to sample her southern fried chicken and waffles.  Bob & Muriel often went to Chez Florence after work for breakfast and to chat with Florence.
