Louis Moyses

After Louis Moyses was discharged from the French military at the end of World War I, he went to work as a bartender in a small club in Paris called Le Gaya. Louis ended up running the club with much success, and moved it to 28 rue Boissy d’Anglas where it was renamed Boeuf sur le Toit (Bull on the Roof). The club immediately became huge success.  In 1925, when Louis Moyses heard Muriel and Bob perform, he immediately offered them a job. During the following years, they became very close friends.
