R.M.S. Orita

In its early days, the R.M.S. Orita, built in 1919, was primarily a passenger liner designed to sail around the precarious Cape Horn.  As passenger competition increased, the Orita began hauling more cargo and fewer passengers.  Such was the case when, in 1925, Bob & Muriel sailed from Panama on the Orita which was headed to France with a load of sugar cane.
